About Bob Embury – Senior Trainer and Business Consultant
Bob created his first training company Quality Training Associates (QTA) in 1990 and has been developing and leading workshops and seminars for organizations ever since. QTA was conceived and launched based on his experience as Senior Manager for a major organization in Vancouver. As a senior leader of the organization, he was responsible for the business success of 16 different units of operation. During this time, he learned that organizational business success was reliant on the skills and motivation of his Managers. By focusing on the skills development of his managers and management team the organization had outstanding success. From this experience, his mission became to help people develop their own personal leadership skills and success in organizations so in turn the organization could prosper.
Bob is passionate about developing the skills and abilities of leaders at every level of organizations. He has worked as a trainer and business consultant with over 350 companies including Nike, Costco, Air Canada, Weyerhaeuser, all levels of government and many not for profit associations.
Bob is known as a motivating and inspiring keynote speaker and has traveled across North America speaking on business subjects including teambuilding, communication, leadership, management, negotiation skills and many others. Bob has spent 5 years as an instructor with Langara and Douglas College on the west coast teaching strategic planning, business planning and entrepreneurship.

In 2013, Bob rebranded his training company to include recruitment and human resources services. Today, his company is known as Eclipse Human Resources Solutions (Eclipse HR). Eclipse HR provides over 150 training programs, full services recruitment and HR Today, a program to help growing companies deal with the issues of HR in their companies on site.
Eclipse HR is a certified trainer for the Canadian Export Manufacturers of B.C (CME) and the B.C. Alliance for Manufacturing.
Chelsea ALLAN | VP of Operations
Chelsea began her career at VIU in 2008, and is now regarded as a leading specialist and dynamic educator in the non-for-profit, tourism, and hospitality industries.
Chelsea is a graduate of the Business Program at VIU with a Major in Marketing. In her 3rd year of business, she did a field school in Italy to study the Renaissance period and wine. 🙂
With 13+ years in the customer service industry, she specializes in customer service training, and sales and communication training. In her past 3+ years at Eclipse HR, she now manages projects and teammates on Vancouver Island and the lower mainland.
Her passion for people and learning shows in every interaction. Chelsea is committed to building the current and next generation of industry leaders.
Chelsea enjoys a Vancouver Island lifestyle - loving her free time outdoors with her husband Tim, son Ryder, and dog Max.
Akhilaa SUSHEELA | Human Resource Specialist
Akhilaa is a Human Resources Professional who has recently completed the National Knowledge Exam and is on her way to becoming a Certified Professional in Human Resources. She has a Bachelors degree in Business Management with an HR Major complemented with a Post Degree Diploma. She has successfully transitioned to the Canadian work culture from her home country, India.
Her past experiences include working in the financial sector for companies like Ernst & Young and Oracle in India. Akhilaa has great interpersonal skills and is known for her ability to make conversations across the board. Her passion for helping people motivated her to pursue a career in HR and she brings fresh ideas and perspective to the Eclipse team.
In her spare time, Akhilaa enjoys reading, cooking and going on long walks in Edmonton.
Shannon RETALLICK | Sales and Recruitment Specialist
Shannon is a true local, born and raised in East Vancouver. She has spent almost 20 years in the local sales and service industry serving local businesses and their clients with over 12 million dollars in sales. She followed her life long passion to help others and completed her collage degree as an early childhood educator. She owned and operated her own successful child care center for many years.
Lara NETO | Human Resource Specialist
Lara began her early education in business as a teenager helping with three family operated business’ - she had her first job at 12 years old! She completed her Bachelor of Business Administration with a triple major in Human Resources, Management, and International Business. She studied abroad in Florence, Italy and Seoul, Korea.
Her focus in Human Resources has brought knowledge, ideas, and business acumen to Eclipse HR. She specializes in full cycle recruiting, developing training programs, and project management across various industries in for-profit and non-profit sectors. She has developed HR policies and procedures as well. As a CPHR candidate she enjoys continuously learning and networking.
She is very dependable, detail oriented, and has a great sense of humour. She is known for her strong work ethic.
Lara is passionate about traveling to new places, whether close to home or faraway; she loves experiencing new cultures, meeting people, and visiting historic sites. This has helped her become a well-rounded business partner and individual.
She speaks three languages and enjoys hiking, boating, and photography in her spare time.
Pete YAKACHUK | Manufacturing Training Specialist
Peter has been involved in Lean enterprise systems and training for 16 years and in the manufacturing industry for more than 20 years. During his more than 18 years Formashape, Peter was a critical advocate in the transition from a traditional manufacturing facility to a world-class Lean organization.
Peter is a certified trainer who helps companies, whether manufacturing or service providers, adopt Lean as the new enterprise culture and/or assist them on their Lean journey. Peter is also able to bring to an organization the Lean Simulation Strategy, which is unique in North America in that it combines the hands-on use of Lean tools with actual financial results in a one-day training session.
In 2006 and 2007 Peter dedicated over 500 hours of personal training and implementation of continuous improvement to achieve the status of a Certified Lean Black Belt (Lean Sensei International). This training included a trip to Japan to visit the leaders in the implementation of lean principles such as Toyota, Kubota, Honda, and Diawa House. Peter has also been involved in numerous continuous improvement events that have seen positive results that have reduced: the operational space needed, cycle times, work in progress, inventory, and defects.
Mike GARCIA | PE FMP Training Specialist
Mike began his career in power engineering and facility management in 2003, and now is regarded as a leading specialist and dynamic educator in power engineering and facility management.
Mike is the owner of Total Facilities Management Consultants International (TFMCI) a company comprised by a group of professional power engineering specialists and facilities management consultants. He leads workshops and produces services in boiler and power plant operations, large facilities operations, pulp mills, manufacturing, agri-foods, mining, petrochemicals and the forest industry across BC and Canada.
